The opportunity to lean into the work of racial equity has never been more pronounced. Over the last few months a new emphasis has been placed on realizing racial equity goals by examining all levels of organizational systems. From hiring to vendor and board selection to systematic reviews of organizational policies and practices – accountability is the name of the game.

Racial inequities exist everywhere – health disparities, income disparities, wealth disparities, among others. The more we become aware, the more we are noticing even deeper issues – artificial intelligence algorithms, hiring and retention practices, lack of diversity in clinical trials. How might we explore more collaborative solutions to engaging in racial equity across systems? How can we expand our mindsets to see beyond our own challenges and co-create systems that enable more access and more equity?

Join Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) Strategist Danielle Marshall of Culture Principles and Executive Coach Wendy Moomaw of the Conscious Collaboratory®, for Reimagining Racial Equity, an eight-week workshop intensive. In this program, participants will explore racial equity more deeply: what it is, how it differs from, and is more than diversity and inclusion. You will both learn and reimagine how to infuse the work of racial equity into your own strategic awareness and ultimately impact your organization with the ideas created from this new awareness. We’re holding a space for inclusivity that honors multiple perspectives and lived experiences.

With so many businesses and organizations engaged in anti-racist conversations, what is your business doing to not only move the needle, but sustain real change? How will you create more access, cultivate racial equity, and transform yourself, your leadership, and your organization?

This co-created workshop experience will be anchored in the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®), a premier cross-cultural assessment, and will focus on dialogue, engagement and application to deepen understanding around racial equity. This workshop series is suited for leaders who are committed to moving their organizations towards more equitable and just outcomes for all. The learning space will also use current examples from participants’ own organizations to practice applying a racial analysis and developing racially equitable solutions.

“In the midst of the dual pandemics of COVID and racial inequity, the proverbial curtain was pulled back, revealing the unspoken truths of our nation — understanding what’s been exposed, what lies ahead, and what this means for businesses – leaders and our employees. As business leaders, we were asked how we were actively creating equitable, inclusive, and safe spaces for our teams to show up to work, and today how we apply equitable practices to our return to the “office.” The opportunity at hand presents itself not only in how we continue the conversation, but also how we prioritize the implementation of goals that center racial equity and further the strategic direction of the organization. And in a nod to sustainability, how we normalize this work into the culture of our businesses.”

DANIELLE MARSHALL, CDP and REDI strategist
Founder of Culture Principles

“What if leaders choose to lead through the lens of racial equity in their sphere of influence? It could shift who they collaborate with, who they hire, and how they build their teams. It may also influence how and what ideas get developed, how they make decisions, and how policies get developed in the organization. We are co-creating a space for leaders to both learn, explore, and practice the lens of racial equity while in community with others. We’re inviting participants to learn and explore other organization’s challenges or to bring their own, so as to deepen their own capacity in racial equity.”
